The Pre-entry Test for admission to the Master Degree Programs in various departments/ institutes, for the academic year 2019 was held at the University of Sindh Jamshoro and its 5 campuses. As many as 3605 candidates including 1367 females tried their luck to seek placement in the courses of their choice in the Master Degree programs at the entrance test at Sindh University Jamshoro and its campuses at Laar Campus Badin, Mirpurkhas, Dadu, Thatta, Larkana and Naushahro Feroze.
Sindh University Testing Centre (SUTC) conducted the test in a conducive, efficient and welcoming environment. Later, speaking to the print and electronic media persons, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat said that it was a historic day as Sindh University was yet again conducting a pre-entry test for admissions to Master Programs in a befitting environment.
The vice chancellor underlined the increasing trend in the number of admission aspirants, comparing the present 3605 to last year's 2522. He also accentuated the elevation in the female aspirants' statistics in the comparative framework. Last year, the number of female candidates was 874; whereas, this year it had risen to 1367. "I reckon this an enviable success of the varsity as I witness growing public trust in SU, despite all odds and rumour mills", Dr Burfat said.
Dr Burfat added that last year Sindh University had facilitated candidates by giving them the option of collecting and submitting admission forms through reputable courier service; whereas, this year it had further improved on this account and had offered candidates trouble-free option of online collection and submission of admission forms and generating electronic admit cards on their own, thus saving them the inconvenience of shuttling many times between their home and the varsity campus and also economizing on their excess expenditure.
The vice chancellor further said that the university evaluated test arrangements every year to learn from the experiences; dilating that on the basis of past experience.
