Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad and Public Health Association, KPK mutually organized a training session for local family health physicians at the university premises. The session was organized to share updates on common oncological diseases with the local physicians to ultimately benefit patient communities at primary healthcare level across different areas of KPK. The objective of the session was to increase the cancer management skills of local doctors and family physicians practicing in KPK.
Dr. Hadi Mohammed Khan, (Consultant Cancer Surgeon, Board Certified Surgical Oncologist) was the guest speaker for the technical session and elaborated diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis of common oncological diseases, while Dr. Kashid Ali (Assistant Professor Family Medicine, Khyber University) was the local speaker emphasizing Oncology in Primary Care.
Prof. Dr. Arshad Javaid (Vice Chancellor, Khyber Medical University) was the chief guest for the occasion, while Prof. Dr. Ziaul Haq (Dean, IPH&SS, Khyber Medical University) and Dr. Saima Abid (President Public Health Association) were among the notable speakers.-PR
