On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,580. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 12.017 billion and the number of lots traded 16,980. Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 4.981 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 3.194 billion, gold PKR 1.384 billion, DJ PKR 815.832 million, currencies through COTS PKR 804.990 million, platinum PKR 296.870 million, natural gas PKR 211.300 million, silver PKR 125.789 million, SP500 PKR 81.190 million, copper PKR 66.403 million and Brent crude oil PKR 54.312 million.
In agriculture commodities 16lots of cotton valued at PKR 8.321 million were traded.
