Canada's Minister for Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland telephoned Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and discussed matters of mutual interest, besides the issue of Aasia Bibi, the Foreign Office said.
According to Spokesperson Foreign Office Dr Mohammad Faisal, the Canadian foreign minister appreciated the Supreme Court's courageous decision in the Aasia Bibi case and Prime Minister Imran Khan's positive speech. Talking to his Canadian counterpart, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, "Aasia Bibi is our national and Pakistan fully respects her legal rights," the spokesperson added.
