The trainee DSPs of National Highways & Motorway Police on Tuesday visited the Punjab Safe City Authority, Lahore office to acquaint themselves with the use of technology for the purpose of effective policing. On the directions of Commandant NH&MP Training College DIG Mehboob Aslam a visit of fifty six under training Chief Patrol Officers (DSPs) was arranged to Punjab Safety City Authority as a part of their capacity building program in advance course.
The Chief Operating Officer of PSCA Akbar Nasir Khan and Chief Admin Officer Muhammad Kamran briefed the trainee officers about working of Authority in terms of integrated emergency response system, intelligent traffic management, Counter terrorism surveillance and Electronic evidence management.
The trainees were also taken to different operational units of the Authority where they were briefed about their practical working. The trainees were briefed in detail as to how intelligent traffic management system, which is very close to the working of NH&MP as well, could help in reducing traffic violations and ultimately road crashes.
They were further informed as to how the data can be used for accidents analysis, evidence collection and possible preventive measures that can be taken on its basis.
