Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday said the government is focusing on prevention of diseases so as to achieve the goal of a healthy society. In his message on World Diabetes Day, the CM said that diabetes is spreading rapidly in Pakistan and other parts of the world for quite some time and adoption of precautionary measures help to control the disease of diabetes. "People can also remain safe from this disease by using balanced diet, exercise and regular walks," he said, adding: "The purpose of celebrating this day is to raise necessary awareness about protection from diabetes as awareness and different precautionary measures are utmost necessary for the health of the people."
He said that adoption of different measures for controlling the diabetes is a part of governmental priorities, the Chief Minister concluded.
Moreover, the Punjab CM has expressed a deep sense of grief over the death of people in separate road accidents near Sundar and Talagang. He has extended sympathies to the bereaved families and directed to provide best healthcare facilities to the injured. He has also sought a report about road accidents from the administration.
