Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Industries Limited (IIL), a construction material manufacturer company. According to details, under this MoU, the company would provide its construction materials at discounted rate to ABAD members for the promotion of construction industry in Pakistan. The MoU signing ceremony was held ABAD House.
Chairman ABAD Muhammad Hassan Bakshi said the construction industry of Pakistan was facing multi-faceted problems now-a-days. One such issue, he said, was cartelization of various construction material manufacturers making construction more costly. On the other hand ABAD is striving to provide shelter to people on reasonable and affordable prices, he added.
Chairman ABAD said that Pakistan is facing shortage of 12 million housing units and ABAD has launched affordable social housing scheme for which endeavor of IIL will prove a helping hand.
