Sindh Food Authority (SFA) on Monday conducted a surprise inspection of restaurants in Clifton Block II, to check food safety and hygiene. These restaurants were using unlabeled containers of several items including open masalas and ketchup/mayonnaise items. Out of three points, one was sealed due to unhygienic conditions by using substandard oil and ketchup.
In this restaurant, unlabeled containers of several items including open masalas and sauces were also in poor conditions. Medicinal bottles and containers were also retrieved from refrigerators containing food items. Another restaurant was fined due to pathetic conditions.
