Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda called on Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail at Governor House, here on Thursday. He briefed the Governor about various under consideration projects to meet water demand of the province. He also informed the Governor regarding recent meetings with the Chief Minister Sindh and the Corps Commander Karachi.
He said that he had taken Sindh Government into confidence with regard to stern action against illegal hydrants in the city. The federal government is committed to extend full support to Sindh government to stop illegitimate business of illegal hydrants in the city. Likewise, illegal water connections to be removed to ensure smooth supply of water to the citizens," he reiterated.
He further informed that a "Task Force" was being notified to address the water issue in the city. Governor Sindh appreciated the efforts of the federal minister and assured him of all support and assistance to address the long standing water issue in the city.
