Continuing with its mission to disseminate scientific ideas and information, the College of Computer Science and Information Systems (CCSIS) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi organized its 12th consecutive International Conference on Mathematics, Actuarial, Computer Science and Statistics (MACS 12) according to IoBM Public Affairs Section.
IEEE Karachi Section was the technical sponsors for MACS 12. This Conference invited papers related, but not limited, to the contemporary trends and issues in the fields of Computer Science, Management Science and Media Science. In this regard, scientists, industry experts, researchers, academicians and research students from around the world presented original research initiatives at MACS 12. It also provided opportunities for researchers and participants to bring and exchange new ideas, ground-breaking practices, unique solutions and application experiences in respective fields.
Gracing MACS 12 with their inspiring presence from IoBM were Talib Syed Karim, President, Sabina Mohsin, Executive Director, Administration, Admissions and Finance, Dr Ejaz Ahmed, Dean CCSIS and Dr Syed Irfan Hyder, Dean CBM and CES. This Conference was well-attended by IoBM Deans, HoDs, faculty and students.
In their message for MACS 12, Talib Karim said, "This conference is expected to discourse and deliberate upon strengthening links between industry and academia in research and development to harmoniously develop at the regional, national and international levels such unique ideas and innovative practices that add value to professionals working in academia and industry."
Sabina Mohsin said, "It is heartening to see CCSIS, IoBM organizing a series of international conferences that bring to fore such findings that project work of academicians, faculty and researchers from home and abroad."
During the inaugural session, Prof Dr S M Aqil Burney, HoD Actuarial Sciences, Risk Management and Mathematics, IoBM delivered the welcome address and the historical importance of this conference and Prof Dr Ejaz Ahmed presented the conference objectives. Prof Dr M Shahid Shaikh, Section Chair IEEE was the Technical Partner while Dr. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, Professor and Vice Chancellor, Sukkur IBA, was the academic partner and the guest of. Talib Karim presented the institution's introduction. Dr Tariq Rahim Soomro, HoD, Computer Science and MIS, IoBM delivered the vote of thanks.
