Sindh Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said on Sunday that the Federal Government has decided to launch a health card scheme for the people living below the poverty line. More than six lakh medical cover would be ensured to such people annually under the scheme, this he said during the visit to Saylani Welfare Trust (SWT) here on Sunday.
The Governor appreciated the welfare services being provided to poor and needy people by the trust and role of the management in this regard. He also announced Rs 1 million as donation for the SWT. Talking to the management of the trust, the Governor said that Federal Government is committed to bring improvement in life of common man.
The Governor Sindh was accompanied by MNA Aalamgir Khan, MNA Arsalan Ghumman and MPA Khurram Sherzaman. Later, he distributed certificates among the successful candidates of the short courses initiated by SWT at its training institute.
