Leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Raja Riaz Ahmad Khan has said that the opening of Kartarpur Corridor was a historic and bold decision of Prime Minister, Imran Khan, to fetch potential of religious tourism in Pakistan.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, he paid rich tributes to Imran Khan on this bold and historic decision and said that out of 12 million followers of Baba Guru Nanak, at least, One lakh will visit the Holy shrines of Sikhs in Punjab, including Kartarpur and Nankana Sahib every year as these shrines are most important for the Sikh Yataries since these remained the abode of their spiritual Leader, Baba Guru Nanak.
Raja Riaz Ahmad said that it was very much encouraging that the government, army and all political parties of the country are on the same page on this issue as the Kartarpur corridor would bring a positive and fruitful impact on regional politics in addition to promoting the regional trade. He added that the PTI government has conveyed a massage of peace to South Asian countries by opening of the Kartarpur corridor. The federal parliamentary secretary said that after opening of this corridor, the vicious propaganda launched by the forces inimical to Pakistan has fainted.
The parliamentary secretary said that India was hitherto dodging the SAARC countries by launching a vicious propaganda against Kartarpur corridor but the inauguration of this corridor by the prime minister this vicious Indian propaganda will shed down.
He said that Pakistan always took initiative for co-existence with its neighbour countries but our counterpart, India, always tried to deteriorate the peaceful conditions in Pakistan by resorting to terrorism in our country. This dual face of India has now badly been exposed throughout the world which may isolate India in the comity of nations throughout the world.
