On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,683. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 7.220 billion and the number of lots traded 20,464. Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 3.499 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 1.172 billion, gold PKR 1.118 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 491.761 million, natural gas PKR 260.136 million, platinum PKR 220.038 million, DJ PKR 200.850 million, silver PKR 128.712 million, SP500 PKR 74.012 million, copper PKR 40.677 million and Brent crude oil PKR 14.046 million. In agriculture 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.743 million were traded.
