Kaira terms PM's interview 'disappointing'

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Imran Khan was disappointed from the Chief Justice of Pakistan because of issuance of summons to Aleema Khan, Usman Buzdar and Zulfi Bukhari. Addressing a press conference at the Punjab Assembly Secretariat, he announced to hold death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto on 27th December in a befitting manner.
He said the interview of Prime Minister suggests that the situation within the government was quite absurd and disappointing. He said rumors about the resignation of Finance Minister Asad Umar are circulating around. He also criticized Shah Mahmood Qureshi for projecting the opening up of the border at Kartarpur and then defeating the government through his irresponsible statement.
He suggested the Prime Minister to take steps to put the house of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in order instead of expressing his disappointment. He also criticized the government for planning to introduce laws through ordinances, saying the government was unaware of the importance of NFC award and 18th amendment.
He also demanded an explanation by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on the PM's statement that Pakistan army was standing with the manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He said how the PM can single out his party for the support of army as it should stand with manifestoes of all political parties in the country.
He also criticized Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar for calling the DPO Pakpatan at the CM House in the middle of night instead of seeking a report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP). Kaira said the government was deviating the attention of the people from real issues by ordering to demolish walls of the Governor House.
He said the government was not serious in introducing the bill for creation of province of South Punjab despite a clear cut support of Bilawal Bhutto to this cause. He said the opposition was ready to contest midterm elections in case the Prime Minister is planning to hold it.
