Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Information, Law and Anticorruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that chest pain units of NICVD were unique and emerged as successful cardiac emergency programme in the world for providing timely medical aid to patients and added that more such units to be established in metropolis.
He said this while visiting Lyari chest pain unit of NICVD on Tuesday.
Provincial Advisor said that over 5000 lives have been saved in a year by giving immediate medical aid to cardio patients at these units before dispachment to main NICVD for further treatment and these units are working round the clock with free of cost medical assistance to people.
He said that Sindh government was focusing to improve the health care facilities at Lyari in line with international standards and he appreciated the role of Lyari chest pain unit staffers and doctors for serving the people of Lyari and successfully running the unit.
He said that PPP lives in the heart of people of Lyari and no one can break that strong bond. He said that PPP had always served the masses of Lyari and would continue to do so.
Later, talking to media persons, Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that we didn't raise slogans for the sack of getting votes only but PPP believed in serving masses. Though Pakistan Peoples Party's mandate was stolen through a engineered election to deprive people of Lyari of their genuine leadership, but still we were committed with the Lyari and this was his 6th visit of Lyari after 2018 election.
In response to a question, Provincial Advisor said it was unfortunate that Prime Minister while elaborating his vision, did not talked about the issues of country, the ways to improve health, education and strengthening national economy and added that Prime Minister accepted his failure in media talk that he was unaware of State Bank policies as he has no control over State Bank.-PR
