The management of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) has refuted a news item in a newspaper against the CEO as false and based on vengeful agenda against him. According to a press release issued here from the KP-EZDMC, the two employees have gone to the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the CEO with false accusations. One of them was transferred on charges of corruption which is currently being investigated, and the other is under scrutiny for slaking in performance and has been absent from work for the past three months.
The main accusation against the CEO is the procedure of his appointment. Saeed Ahmed Khan had been working in Canada and KSA for the last 20 years and had no connection with anyone in KP in any capacity hence the accusation of using influence in the hiring process is completely baseless.
Saeed was selected by the Board of Directors (BoD) of the company through a completely transparent procedure. He is a thorough professional who is an Engineer by profession with master's degree from Canada and has worked for Canadian government and a blue-chip multinational company in KSA prior to joining KP-EZDMC. He was involved in the Industrialization of one of the largest industrial cities, Jubail Industrial City, in his previous assignment.
The accusation of Saeed receiving salary from his previous employer while working for KP-EZDMC had been laid to rest much earlier as he had provided documentary evidence to HR Committee of the BoD, and the Board of Directors of KPEZDMC about his termination of contract from his previous employer.
Living most of his life abroad in a multicultural environment Saeed believes in equality and is extremely averse to racismin any capacity. The allegation of racism against him is totally ill founded and highly ridiculous.
After joining KPEZMDC in February this year, Saeed Ahmad has set the direction of the company through achieving success in streamlining internal procedures, making the company more efficient, defining goals more effectively and focusing on delivery. He is spearheading Rashakai Special Economic Zone under CPEC which is in its final stages of launch after signing JV agreement with Chinese partners.
