On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,674. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 13.443 billion and the number of lots traded 26,236.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 4.895 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 4.472 billion, gold PKR 1.604 billion, natural gas PKR 803.169 million, currencies through COTS PKR 768.793 million, platinum PKR 304.494 million, DJ PKR 225.517 million, silver PKR 221.003 million, SP500 PKR 94.503 million, copper PKR 41.035 million and Brent crude oil PKR 12.073 million. In agriculture 8 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 4.447 million were traded.
