Islamic Relief Pakistan launched Child Protection Referral Mechanism as a commitment towards Channels of Hope - Child Protection Initiative where representatives from relevant state departments, child protection service providers and community members participated and reassured their support and cooperation for the cause.
In this connection, a workshop was held to address the issues pertaining to child protection by building effective and sustainable relationship between service providers and the community members, says a press release issued, here on Wednesday.
Under the Channels of Hope initiative of Islamic Relief Pakistan, faith leaders along with community members are conducting child rights and protection campaigns in four union councils of the twin cities. The representatives from the government departments, nongovernmental organizations and media said that there is need of such workshops to address the issues of child protection through joint efforts.
Country Director Islamic Relief Pakistan, Umair Hasan while addressing the participants said that "Islamic Relief Pakistan is committed to end all forms of violence against children in Pakistan. We are working in close coordination with other stakeholders to create a protective environment for children."-PR
