Aziz Fatima Medical & Dental College (AFMDC) has rendered excellent services in the promotion of medical education in addition to providing best and state of the art medical facilities to the ailing humanity, said Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar. In a meeting with Major General Hamid Shafiq (r) Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) Chief Operating Officer/Principal AFMDC, he said that provision of medical facilities to the far-flung rural areas is of immense importance and in this connection we have to overcome the shortage of trained and qualified manpower.
He said that in this connection the private sector is also complementing the efforts of the government and government will fully encourage them with necessary administrative and policy support.
He also lauded the medical facilities offered by the Aziz Fatima Hospital.
Earlier, Major General Hamid Shafiq (r) told that medical college is producing best doctors in addition to providing state-of-the-art medical facilities in this hospital.
He told that the college has completed its initial phase and is now planning to upgrade it into a full-fledged university. However, it will require active support and patronage of the government.
He told that specialization courses could be offered after upgrading it into university in addition to conduct innovative research in different faculties of the medical profession.
