On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,647. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 38.390 billion and the number of lots traded 60,527.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 28.506 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 5.625 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.851 billion, gold PKR 1.351 billion, DJ PKR 399.894 million, SP500 PKR 184.151 million, platinum PKR 163.435 million, natural gas PKR 141.367 million, silver PKR 99.349 million, copper PKR 48.513 million and Brent crude oil PKR 20.042 million.
In agriculture commodities 20lots of cotton valued at PKR 11.039 million and 32,245 lots of red chilli valued at PKR 8.917 million were traded.
