The Met Office (MO) on Saturday forecast a cloudy weather with scattered rains and thunderstorm and snowfall for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. Karachi along with Quetta, Zhob, Makran, Kalat, DI Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala Divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to receive scattered rains with thunderstorm and snowfall during (evening/night over the period.
In the last 24 hours: Cold and dry weather prevailed over the most parts of the country with temperature touching below minus 8 degrees Celsius in Skardu, minus 4, each, in Astore, Hunza and Gupis and minus 2 in Kalam. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of the country on Sunday and affect upper and central parts of the country on Monday," the Met added.
