Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to ensure provision of rights to the people of Balochistan and bring the province at par with other provinces of the country, said State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi.
Speaking at the International Youth Summit, he said the people of Balochistan have been ignored by successive regimes due to which they are left behind, but now the PTI government will make every effort and use all available resources to uplift the province.
About the resources of the province - one of the major concerns of the people of Balochistan - he said that the people of Balochistan have all the rights over their resources and the government will take special steps to utilise their resources on the welfare of locals.
The minister also touched upon the recent opening of Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh pilgrims and said that it was a step forward on part of Pakistan because it wants peace with all its neighbours.
He said that enemies of Pakistan are trying to disintegrate the country's society through 5th generation warfare but this will be foiled through unity among the youth as the people of the country are united to give a humiliating defeat to nefarious designs of the enemies.
He called upon the youth, especially those from Balochistan, to play their due role in projecting the soft image of the country, adding it is this country which is the identity of every Pakistani "so we all stand up to play our role to make it a prosperous country."
He also called upon international students attending the event to become peace ambassadors and spread the message of harmony and love, saying the green passport is Pakistanis' pride, and it is incumbent on every Pakistani especially youth not to compromise on dignity and prestige of the country.
Referring to the hardships being faced by the Kashmiri youth, he said that the international community is not paying any heed to the atrocities being committed by India in Occupied Kashmir.
