The District Administration Lahore on Saturday notified a 30-member price control committee to keep an eye on the prices of fruits and vegetables in all the markets of provincial capital. District Commissioner Lahore Saleha Saeed issued a notification in this regard. There are two categories of members: officials and non-officials.
The official members include the DC, DIG operations, ADCR, Director Agriculture, Assistant Commissioners, District Health officer, Assistant Director Livestock, Director Labour, Secretary Market Committee, Extra Assistant Director Agriculture and District Officer Industries.
The non-official members are Nadeem Ahmad Bara, Malik Sarfraz Khokhar, Muhammad Amin Zulqurnain, Mian Yasir Nawaz, Rizwan Faryad, Mian Akhlaq Ahmad, Abid Mir, Nadeem Ahmad Butt, Faisal Hakim, Shoaib Khan, Shahid Muneer Malik, Iftikhar Yousaf, Haji Muhammad Aslam, Hafiz Arif Gujjar, Chaudhary Azmat Gondal, Malik Iftikhar, Babar Ali and Ch Ijaz. The DC directed all price control magistrates to be vigilant in the field and take strict action against profiteers.
