On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,618. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 58.170 billion and the number of lots traded 70,925.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 50.781 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.345 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 2.165 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 921.146 million, DJ PKR 896.969 million, platinum PKR 545.279 million, SP500 PKR 188.563 million, silver PKR 128.594 million, copper PKR 101.787 million, natural gas PKR 64.830 million and Brent crude oil PKR 30.069 million. In agriculture commodities 6 lots of cotton valued PKR 3.218 million and 16,120 lots of red chilli valued PKR 4.513 million were traded.
