Peshawar Zone clinched the trophy of the Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-College Boys Athletic Championship which concluded here at Tartan Track of the Qayyum Sports Complex on Friday. Principal Government College Peshawar Professor Sharif Gul was the chief guest on this occasion. Directors Sports Arshad Khan, Hassan Khan, members of various faculties, Principal and teaching staff of different participating colleges, officials, players and large number of spectators were also present on this occasion.
Besides winning the overall trophy Peshawar-A and Peshawar-B, Muhammad Asif GC Matra played a pivotal role in steering Peshawar Zone to an overall trophy when he grabbed gold medal in 5000m, 3000m, 1500, 8000 and long jump, took silver medals in 400m and bronze medal in Discuss throw besides having a key role in the victory of the team in 4X100m relay and 4X400m relay.
