Finance Minister Asad Umar said on Saturday that the total number of income tax returns filed this year till December 17, 2018 at 1,492,507, reflecting an increase of 34 percent as compared to the same period last year.
According to a tweet of Finance Minister on Saturday, "Total number of tax returns filed this year till Dec 17, 2018 which was the last date for filing tax returns. This is an increase of 34 percent versus the same period last year. Thanks to all those who filed their returns", it added.
