The United Business Group (UBG) led by Iftikhar Malik and S MMuneer has swept the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) annual elections held on December 28 for the year 2019. According to unofficial results the UBG candidate Engr Daroo Khan and Dr Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig have been elected as President and Senior Vice President of FPCCI for the year 2019 respectively.
All the eleven seats of vice presidents have been captured by UBG. Five candidates of UBG elected on vice president seats including Abdul Rauf Mukhtar elected vice president on Punjab province, Muhammad Ijaz Khan on seat of Federal Area, Qurban Ali on seat of chambers of small traders and small industries, Shireen Arshad Khan on women chamber seat, Ismail Suttar on Balochistan seat.
All the four seats of vice presidents of Association of Trade and Industry captured by UBG candidates including Noor Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Arshad Jamal, Abdul Waheed and Muslim Mohamedi. Haji Iftikhar Ahmed and Waqar Mehmood Khan have been declared elected unofficially unopposed on the seats of vice president of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh respectively.
