Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA, Haji Shuakat Ali has expressed displeasure over poor cleanliness in different parts of provincial metropolis Peshawar and directed the Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar to improve performance in next three months. Haji Shaukat Ali, who is also focal person for Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP), paid a surprise visit in different areas in the city on Sunday. In the visit, he thoroughly reviewed that performance of WSSP in Union Council Yakatoot II and III. He also apprised about problems of masses and issued directives for their amicable resolution.
He, on the occasion, ordered suspension of Union Council Yakatoot II and III Municipal inspectors and sought explanation from Chief Municipal Inspector and Manager Solid Waste Zone-B over poor cleanliness conditions in their localities. He directed that WSSP Chief Executive, Khan Zeb to bring improvement within next three months.
Shuakat Ali said that he will visit every union council on daily basis. He said that officials will send to home if cleanliness situation was not improved. He also warned that the stern action would be taken against municipal inspectors if the situation didn't improve.
PTI MNA said that the poor cleanliness is unbearable in city areas despite provision of all facilities to Municipal inspectors. He vowed the Clean and Green Campaign will make successful at any cost. He said that the officials will be sent home which were not performing their duties with devotion and honesty. He urged the masses to register complaints on WSSP Complaint Number 1334 or inform zonal general manager, if the complaints were not entertained.
