A Save the Graveyards Movement (SGM) has been launched to protect graveyards in National Assembly constituency NA-31 here on Sunday. The campaign aims at to retain sanctity of the graveyards. A boundary wall will be constructed in Quaidabad graveyard under the drive. It will also support to protect the government property from land grabbers.
The Save Graveyards Movement was formally inaugurated by PTI MNA Haji Shuakat Ali here in Quaidabad area of provincial metropolis. A large number of PTI local leaders and workers were present on the occasion. Accompanied by district member, Arshad Shinwari, Town member Taj Mohammad, General Councillor Shah Faisal, Shah Nawaz Khan, and others, Shuakat Ali reviewed the ongoing development work in the area. He also visited the park located in Quaidabad locality.
Talking to newsmen on the occasion, MNA Shaukat Ali said that the graveyards will be protected by construction of the boundary wall. He said the step would also protect the graveyards from the land grabbers.
He said that all graveyards will be protected through construction of boundary wall, located in NA-31. He said that the cleanliness will be ensured in all graveyards. He said the measures will be taken to enhance the beauty of the provincial metropolis.
He criticized that previous governments had least bothered to take care of graveyards and didn't take action against land grabbers. He made it clear that PTI government will not allow encroaching on the government property.
He said that government is fully committed to make the Clean and Green Pakistan campaign successful. He ordered that authorities co ncerned to take measures to restore greenery and beatification at Park in Quaidabad.
