On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,588. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 15.280 billion and the number of lots traded 21,857. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 6.318 billion, followed by gold PKR 3.725 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 2.090 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.834 billion, DJ PKR 424.629 million, platinum PKR 441.890 million, silver PKR 189.317 million, SP500 PKR 90.009 million, copper PKR 78.328 million, Japanese Equity 225 PKR 43.607 million, natural gas PKR 23.317 million and Brent crude oil PKR 20.200 million. In agriculture commodities 21 lots of cotton valued PKR 15.178 million were traded.
