PML-N MPA Khawaja Salman Rafique on Wednesday expressed his reservation over the National Accountability Ordinance.
He was talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly after being released on production order.
He said 90 days remand was unnecessary and called for amendments in the NAB law. He admitted that it is the failure of the PML (N) government for not introducing amendments in this law.
Earlier while responding to the question of PML (N) MPA Azma Zahid Bukhari in the Punjab Assembly, a provincial minister said that water and sanitation agencies are working in five cities of Punjab which are providing clean drinking water and sanitation facilities to the citizens.
He also said that the government is not considering awarding benevolent fund to the employees of water and sanitation agency (WASA) because it is an autonomous body and its employees do not come under government service. He said the government is considering to regularize the employees of Faisalabad Sanitation Agency under the rule of benevolent fund.
The session was adjourned by Speaker Pervez Elahi till 11 am on Thursday after the news of death of PTI MPA Ghulam Abbas Raan.
Law Minister Raja Basharat while giving details of the incident said that PTI's member of Punjab Assembly Mazhar Abbas died of cardiac arrest.
