Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Wednesday submitted seven adjournment motions in the National Assembly Secretariat relating to gas and power crisis, slow pace of work on CPEC projects and hike in prices of medicine. The adjournment motions submitted by PML-N are also relating to increase in inflation and debt and awarding Mohmand Dam contract to a favourite company.
The adjournment motions were submitted by PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Asif, Saad Rafique, Marriyum Aurangzeb and others. The motion stated that power outages are being carried out in winter which is inflicting billions of rupees loss to the already crumbling economy. The current situation of the load shedding is failure of the incumbent government, it added.
The second adjournment motion stated that the gas load shedding is badly affecting common man and its negative impacts are affecting every sector. "Gas load shedding is proof of the government's mismanagement."
Another adjournment motion regarding debt stated that increase in the country's debt resulted in decrease in growth rate due to which the country's debt has soared. The motion about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) stated that the work on CPEC projects has slowed down that raises a question mark on the credibility of the government.
