Punjab government has formed a Joint Investigation Team for impartial investigation of the Sahiwal police firing incident and its FIR has been registered.
This was stated by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar while chairing a high level meeting on Sunday to review headway of Sahiwal incident. He assured that action will be taken against all those found guilty under the law. He vowed that culprits will be brought to book and we will ensure the rule of law. Justice would not only be done, but would be seen to be done.
All aspects of the incident were discussed in detail in the meeting and a report was also presented to CM in this regard. Provincial law minister Raja Basharat, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Interior, Inspector General Police and other concerned senior officials attended the ceremony.
