On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,639. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.127 billion and the number of lots traded 12,976. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 3.706 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.579 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.117 billion, gold PKR 946.515 million, DJ PKR 367.662 million, silver PKR 113.172 million, platinum PKR 77.904 million, SP500 PKR 77.251 million, natural gas PKR 74.320 million, Brent crude oil PKR 49.762 million and copper PKR 17.368 million.
In agriculture commodities one lot of cotton valued at PKR 0.509 million and 59,260 lots of red chilli amounting at PKR 15.911 million were traded.
