On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,654. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.519 billion and the number of lots traded 19,741. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 PKR 3.395 billion followed by gold amounting to PKR 3.159 billion, WTI currencies through COTS PKR 2.838 billion, crude oil PKR 1.406 billion, DJ PKR 282.481 million, silver PKR 134.657 million, platinum PKR 121.259 million, SP500 PKR 56.709 million, copper PKR 52.612 million, natural gas PKR 44.307 million and Brent crude oil PKR 27.742 million. In agriculture commodities 5 lots of cotton valued to PKR 2.564 million and 40,508 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 11.052 million were traded.
