The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that as the so-called election process has lost attraction, new faces are being projected through social media platforms to get back the charm of polls in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Yasin Malik addressing a public gathering in Srinagar said, "New faces with alluring slogans are being projected to get dead election process glamorized again. Last five years have brought appalling miseries to Kashmiris." He urged people to remain steadfast and vigilant as new conspiracies are being hatched to hurt the ongoing freedom movement.
The JKLF Chairman said a narrative is being created that resolution of Kashmir dispute will be achieved through assembly and parliament. He said some educated people are leaving their jobs, some other leading employees are also joining in and many turncoats have too jumped into the field to deceive people and glamorize election process which has lost relevance in the eyes of people of Kashmir.
Yasin Malik said, "For last 70 years New Delhi has been using elections to prolong its forcible control on Kashmir and delay the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. It is our responsibility to remain vigilant and reject all such processes which are harming and hurting our national interest."
The JKLF chairman said Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is arriving in Kashmir again. "When last time he was in Udhampur, tour operators asked him to appeal tourists to visit Kashmir. But instead of heeding to their pleas, the Indian Prime Minister in his address stated that Kashmiris should choose between tourism and terrorism, in a way he asked tourists not to visit Kashmir," Yasin Malik said.
