Punjab Governor Mohammad Sarwar has said that Pakistan is in hands of honest and competent leadership and they will make her a true welfare and democratic state. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held by Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians here on Saturday. He further said that they are confident of overcoming the problems like injustice and oppression and added that strengthening of institutions is top priority of the PTI government. "The institutions must be free from corruption and any kind of political intervention," he added.
He observed that Prime Minister Health Insurance Programme is not less than a revolution; the government is using all available resources to provide basic facilities to the masses, which all the past governments failed to do so. "If the previous governments had not indebted Pakistan, the country would have been in a better position," he added. He said that instead of taking short-term measures, they prefer long-term and secure measures to resolve the chronic issues facing of the country.
