The sale of tickets for the five Karachi and three Lahore matches of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been started on Yayvo.com. Tickets for the play-offs and qualifiers range from Rs500 to Rs3, 000, whereas tickets for the March 17 final at Karachi's National Stadium range from Rs500 to Rs8, 000, a Yayvo official, said.
Defending champions Islamabad United faced Lahore Qalandars in the opening match of this year's PSL at Dubai International Cricket Stadium after a glittering opening ceremony.
With the formal start of the PSL-IV match, shirts of six franchised teams are being sold. A shopkeeper at Anarkali Bazaar Usman Butt said that T-shirts are selling fast among young people and more stock is being ordered as the current stocks are running low due to the high demand. He said the T shirts of Lahore Qalandar are in high demand besides Karachi Kings.
"We all want to watch the matches [here] together," said a young man Atif. Moreover, the Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed the hope that the cricket fans will enjoy the game of cricket. "Pakistani nation loves sports as well as the players. Every team taking part in the PSL-IV is my favorite," he added. This year, eight matches will be held in Pakistan and it is my desire that all the matches should be held in the country. The cricket lovers are eager to see their favorite players playing in the sports ground, he added.
