The President has rescheduled the National Assembly session due to two-day (February 17-18) visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and now the session would be held on Wednesday (Feb 20) instead of Monday (Feb 18). The National Assembly session was to be held on Monday but the federal government declared local holiday on Feb 18 within the revenue limits of Islamabad Capital Territory due to arrival of MBS.
According to a notification issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, "The President has been pleased to summon the session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, the 20th February, 2019 at 4:00 pm, instead of Monday, the 18th February 2019 at 4:00 pm, therefore, orders of the day issued on Friday, the 15th February, 2019 for the sitting of the Assembly to be held on Monday, the 18th February, 2019 is hereby withdrawn."
The spokesperson National Assembly said that Red Zone area of Islamabad will remain completely sealed on the arrival of the Saudi Crown Prince. He said that the Assembly Secretariat staff has been given a holiday on Monday.
