An earthquake of low intensity jolted various districts of Balochistan on Sunday resulting in minor property damages, no causality was reported. According to geological wing of PMD, tremours measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale were felt in Quetta, Chaghi, Jaffarabad, Kalat and other districts of Balochistan.
People of the areas where the quake was felt rushed out of their homes, shops and other buildings reciting Kalma e Tayyeba and verses from the Holy Quran. The quake caused to collapse walls and minor damages to some dilapidated houses and buildings in some districts. However, no human losses or injuries were reported from anywhere. The epi-centre of the quake was stated to be 60 kilometer South-West of district Kalat, 12 kilometer deep inside the earth crust.
