Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Sunday inaugurated a new general bus stand at Mingora in district Swat. The new bus stand has been established on 40 kanal of land at the bypass with the capacity three-time higher than the existing bus stand (adda). The project will also save Rs 40 million annually for the province.
Tehsil Nazim Babuzai Akram Khan, SE C&W Jamil Ahmad and XEN Shahab Khan briefed the Chief Minister. Chairman DDAC and MPA Fazle Hakim Khan, Azizullah Garan, District Nazim Swat Muhammad Ali Khan, Commissioner Malakand Syed Zaheeul Islam, DIG Saeed Wazir and others were also present.
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister has vision and ability to successfully bring the country out of economic quagmire. He said Imran Khan was accustomed to handle crises. "The Saudi crown prince visit to Pakistan will bring foreign investment to the country," he said, adding that successful march to the revival of country's economy took the opponents aback who worked against the interest of country and played havoc with the resources and future of the country during their rules.
Mahmood Khan said Malakand Division was fast becoming a tourist destination and the centre of economic and trade activities where swat would have the central role because of the revolution in the communication network and economic development.
The Chief Minister announced that after the inauguration, Swat Motorway would be extended to Mingora in the first Phase in coming May and Bagh Dehri in the second phase. He lauded performance of TMA and ordered the release of Rs 80 million for developmental activities.
He said people of Swat were true in pinning expectations in him because he was from Malakand Division and people were really indebted to Prime Minister for choosing a Chief Minister of the province from a remote, area hit by terrorism and war.
