The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting held under the chairmanship of Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash, Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary P&D Department, members of PDWP and representatives of tribal districts.
The meeting considered 19 projects pertaining to different sectors including agriculture, buildings, roads & bridges, urban development, health, multi-sectoral development, local government, relief & rehabilitation, higher education and sports & tourism sectors for the uplift of the province.
The meeting approved 18 projects with an estimated cost of Rs 13875.727 million.
One project was deferred due to inadequate design and returned to respective department for rectification.
Approved project of Agriculture sector was control of livestock diseases of economic importance in KP.
Approved project of Building sector was construction of cafeteria/car parking/masjid in KP Assembly building at Khyber road Peshawar.
Approved projects of Roads & Bridges sector were construction & blacktopping of Manglawar to Malam Jabba Road 35km, district Swat, rehabilitation and improvement of Bara-Mastak, Phase-2 Shin Kumar to Mastak Road, and construction of Link Roads to CPEC in Tribal District (Phase-I 21km).
Approved project of Urban Development sector was construction of parking/commercial at Namak Mandi Chowk Peshawar.
Approved projects of Health sector were Health Nutrition Programme in FATA, strengthening of EPI Programme in FATA.
Approved project of Multi-sectoral Development sector was pending liabilities of various sectors and projects under ADP 2017-18 approved through supplementary grant by Cabinet and cleared scrutiny Committee headed by secretary, C&W Department.
Approved project of Local Government sector was communication/mass awareness/publicity of schemes.
Approved projects of Relief & Rehabilitation sector were establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in District D.I. Khan, establishment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) in District Nowshehra, establishment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) in District Swabi, establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in District Abbottabad.
Approved projects of Higher Education sector were establishment of 15 Government colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Boys and Girls (Phase-IV), establishment of Pakhtunkhwa Economic Policy Research Institute at AWKUM.
Approved projects of Sports & Tourism sector were F/S and establishment of female indoor sports facilities at divisional headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, establishment of Sports Complex at Kohat.
