Flight's diversion to Islamabad irks passengers
New Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday faced a protest of a diverted flight's passengers.
A flight arriving to Lahore from Jeddah had to be diverted to Islamabad International Airport due to which travellers faced inconvenience and protested. More travellers joined the protest after flights going to Cyprus, Milan and Jeddah were also affected.
More than 10 domestic and international flights were delayed at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday after one of its runways had to be closed due to the emergence of potholes on its surface after heavy rainfall in Lahore. The second runway of the airport was already closed for repair work.
However, the runway was opened following repair work and seven domestic and international flights have departed from the airport.
