Pakistan's Armed Forces are fully-prepared to give a befitting response to any Indian aggression, military media wing said Monday. The statement came from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) after a meeting was held between Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan here at the Air Headquarters. Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor also tweeted about the visit of the COAS to Air Headquarters wherein "both the chiefs expressed satisfaction over the readiness, coordination and synergy."
During the meeting, General Bajwa and Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan deliberated upon the operational environment in the region including threats and response.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said that Pakistan Air Force is always ready to fight any act of aggression as per the nation's expectations. The PAF spokesman said that the Air Chief visited the forward operating bases on Sunday last where he interacted with the crew as well.
Air Marshal Anwar Khan said on Sunday last that Pakistanis are a peace-loving nation, but in case war is imposed on them; they know how to protect the borders.
A day ago COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited troops along the Working Boundary near Sialkot and said that there is nothing more sacred than defending the motherland. The COAS appreciated the morale of troops and their operational readiness. "There isn't anything more sacred than defending the motherland. I take pride in leading an army which is ever ready to perform this duty," the COAS stated.
The Army Chief said that defending the motherland is the most sacred act while the air chief promised that the Pakistan Air Force would "thwart any misadventure by the enemy."
The statements by the top brass of Armed Forces came after the increased tensions between India and Pakistan, following an attack on Indian security forces in occupied Kashmir's Pulwama district, in which at least 40 paramilitary soldiers were killed on February 14.
