On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,728. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.468 billion and the number of lots traded 10,302.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.692 billion followed by NSDQ100 PKR 2.248 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.916 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 868.452 million, platinum PKR 364.097 million, silver PKR 253.597 million, DJ PKR 61.126 million, SP500 PKR 19.670 million, natural gas PKR 16.059 million, copper PKR 13.448 million, Brent crude oil PKR 8.938 million and Japan Equity PKR 5.943 million. In agriculture commodities 23 lots of cotton valued at PKR 20.826 million were traded.
