Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has strongly condemned the airspace violation by the Indian Air Force. The India should refrain from provocation, export and promotion of terrorism in the region. Each and every Pakistani backed the Pak armed forces to safeguard the motherland, he added.
He was addressing the Cabinet meeting at the Civil Secretariat Peshawar. CM would give a schedule to the provincial Ministers for visiting the newly merged districts and approved 25 police stations for the 25 sub-divisions of the erstwhile FATA.
The CM also constituted a committee comprising Ministers Law, Finance and Information to look into the establishment of Directorate General Law and submit recommendations in the next cabinet meeting for approval. Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary and administrative secretaries attended the cabinet meeting.
The chief minister directed to nominate reputable people for the boards of different departments adding that his government is committed to the transparency and merit.
The chief minister condemning the intrusion of Indian Air Force warned it not to espouse wishful thinking. We are aware of the inimical designs of the India, he added. He said Modi administration should not try to catch the fire and desist from the election tactics adding that it was India promoting terrorism in the region. Their extremist designs have exposed the Indian at international level as well, demanding to stop tyranny and oppression of the innocent Kashmiris.
The chief minister said after the merger guided by the constitutional amendments, all the laws and regulation of the public sector entities stayed extended in the newly merged districts.
He constituted a committee to look into the anomalies of the regularization of employees. The Committee will comprise Provincial Ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Shaukat Yousafzai and Sultan Muhammad Khan which would submit its recommendations as soon as possible.
Mahmood Khan directed for a structured mechanism for the transfer of institutional knowledge and memories to the predecessors. He highlighted his developmental strategy for the province adding that the major chunk of resources goes to the non developmental expenditure including salaries, pension leaving little for the developmental strategy he assured to drastically cut down the swelling of non developmental expenditures so that we could have fiscal space for the developmental schemes.
He directed to follow the guidelines and undertake extensive homework for the resource generation in order to bring stability to the provincial kitty so that we could allocate resources for the developmental projects throughout the province.
Mahmood Khan said governance needs rationality and no emotionally driven decisions. We have to follow an approach for public development and prosperity and we have to make welfare oriented decisions.
The federal government would start the transfer of resources in the net hydel power and other areas. The AGN Qazi formula can contribute considerably to the strengthening of the fiscal space of the province.
He also directed to send a summary for the appointments of Managing Director (MD) Tanzeem Lilsail wal Mahroom so that the next cabinet meeting could make a decision. He warned against lethargic attitude and directed the administration department to auction condemned vehicles.
