The National Assembly Standing Committee on Science and Technology has approved the annual development budget of Rs 3.9 billion for Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) for financial year 2019-20.
The second meeting of the committee was held under the chairmanship of MNA Sajid Mehdi.
The committee discussed the budgetary proposals of the ministry for the financial year 2019-20. An amount of Rs 3.9 billion demanded by the ministry and its attached departments was endorsed by the committee relating to Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the next financial year.
The committee was further briefed about the performance and working of the ministry and its attached departments. The committee decided to get briefing from all attached departments of the ministry separately.
