Serious efforts are being made to bring various sectors of economy in the mainstream of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) in order to resolve their sector specific issues expeditiously, said president FCCI Syed Zia Alumdar.
Addressing a joint session of FCCI standing committee on liaison with trade associations and mobile phone association, he lauded the efforts of Rana Sikandar Azam to enhance the membership of FCCI. He said that during the last months of FCCI calendar year, membership was given to more than 70 applicants. "It is a fact that the standing committee on liaison with trade associations is working efficiently", he added.
He said that the applicants, who had got FCCI membership during this month, are fully aware of the fact that would have to renew their membership from the start of FCCI calendar year, i.e from April 2019.
Zia Alumdar also appreciated the progress made by the mobile phone sector and said that it is a new sector which has become an integral part of our economy within a few years.
As it is a new sector hence, its problems are still un-documented and needs to be compiled scientifically for their early resolution. He said that the members of mobile phone association must get the membership of FCCI so that their issues could be taken up at this forum by involving departments concerned and institutions.
Senior Vice President Mian Tanveer Ahmed thanked Shahbaz Gul Butt chairman of the FCCI standing committee on mobile phones and accessories. He assured that they must get the membership of FCCI so that their problems could be highlighted with concerned government departments.
