On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,719. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.536 billion and the number of lots traded 12,884. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 4.481 billion followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.631 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.585 billion, gold PKR 1.182 billion, platinum PKR 203.314 million, silver PKR 188.160 million, Brent crude oil PKR 83.576 million, DJ PKR 72.237 million, Palladium PKR 41.804 million, natural gas PKR 27.508 million, SP500 PKR 20.164 million and copper PKR 18.905 million.
In agriculture commodities 5 lots of wheat valued at PKR 16.404 million, 16,580 lots of red chilli valued at PKR 4.393 million and 4 lots of cotton valued at PKR 2.008 million were traded.
