Indian media on Sunday claimed that Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar has died in Islamabad. Leading Indian news channels ran the news in their breaking stories with multiple claims about the 'death' of Maulana Masood Azhar which became the top trend in India shortly with MasoodAzharDEAD hashtag.
The Indian media reports claimed that Masood Azhar was admitted to an "army hospital" in Islamabad and died on Saturday, without confirming that there is no military hospital in the federal capital at all.
Firstly, the Indian media claimed that Masood Azhar was killed in the Indian air force strike on "JeM's biggest training camp" in Pakistan's Balakot on February 26 along with "Colonel Saleem of ISI" and later it claimed that Azhar died in 'an army hospital after suffering renal failure'.
